Your API key.

**x-velt-auth-token** `string` *required*

Your [Auth Token](https://velt.dev/docs/security/auth-tokens.md).

# Body

#### Params

**data** `object` *required*

**properties**

**config** `object` *required*

`{ enabled?, maxAlertsPerWeek?, enabledAlertTypes?, severityThreshold? }`. `severityThreshold` is `high`, `medium`, or `low`. `maxAlertsPerWeek` must be a non-negative integer. `enabledAlertTypes` is an array of alert types: `anomaly`, `configuration_drift`, `emerging_standard`, or `standards_drift`. Unrecognized alert types and unrecognized keys inside `config` are accepted, stored, and returned by [Get Alert Config](https://velt.dev/docs/api-reference/rest-apis/v2/memory/alerts/config/get.md).

## **Example Requests**

#### Store alert settings

```JSON theme={null}
{
  "data": {
    "config": {
      "enabled": true,
      "maxAlertsPerWeek": 3,
      "severityThreshold": "medium"
    }
  }
}
```

# Response

The response confirms the update. The config is merged into the workspace's stored settings and returned by [Get Alert Config](https://velt.dev/docs/api-reference/rest-apis/v2/memory/alerts/config/get.md).

These values are not applied to alert generation today. Alerts are capped at 3 per rolling 7 days per workspace.

#### Success Response

```JSON theme={null}
{
  "result": {
    "success": true
  }
}
```

#### Failure Response

```JSON theme={null}
{
  "error": {
    "message": "ERROR_MESSAGE",
    "status": "INVALID_ARGUMENT"
  }
}
```

```js theme={null}
{
  "result": {
    "success": true
  }
}
```
